Holiday Party Outfit Ideas

 Holiday Party Outfit Ideas

Whether it's Christmas or New Year's, there are plenty of parties going on this time of the year. It is the end of the year, and as such, it is a great time to get dressed up for a party. To look, and to feel like a million dollars. But, that doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune, to look like one.

Here are my outfit party ideas for the holiday season.

The Beauty of Winter

Dress: ASOS Coat: MANGO Shoes: Riverberry

You don't have to spend a lot to look like you did for your holiday parties. For this look, the dress
does all the talking. It has a beautiful snow and ice crystal look to it, without being over the top. Adding silver accessories in a winter hue complements the look. A nice light grey coat, with a fur accent gives a nice cozy, yet elegant look to the outfit. A snow queen, indeed.

Mixing Classics

For something a little different, a beautiful pair of pants may make all the difference. It's easier to stay warm, and comfortable in pants, and with many dress codes not being strict, it's a viable option. By mixing classic pieces together, it's easy to create a cohesive, and elegant look. Classic colours always work well together, as the black, red and camel do here. The combination of feminine details, with an unexpected twist, make this outfit truly chic.

Polka Dot Sweet

This polka dot blouse pairs well with a black skirt, while an embellished belt is a great addition, adding some sparkle. Simple jewelry keeps the focus on the outfit, while enhancing the overall look. The beige cardigan, bag and shoes add a lovely contrast. The cardigan and bag provide a luxurious look to the outfit, while the beige mary jane shoes elongate the legs, and the bow ties in the overall girly and sweet look of the entire outfit.

White Front / Black Back

Jacket: Oscar de la Renta Watch: Ahrens (vintage) Bag: Gucci

Black or white is always a great choice when going to a party, but so is black and white. Together. This beautiful three-quarter length dress is more white from the front. Then, when you turn around, it's more black. The shoes are the same way. The jacket and clutch both have beautiful subtle details that go well with the dress. They add contrast when viewing the front of the dress, and blend well when seen from the back of the dress. White pearls and diamonds go well, without distracting from the dress itself.

The Vintage Touch

Earrings: Yves Saint Laurent (vintage) Coat: Theory Dress: Gucci Shoes: Stuart Weitzman Necklace: Chanel Bracelet: Etsy Watch: Longines  Bag: Dior

This outfit is all about lady like elegance. The red dress is a bright and festive colour for parties and the holidays, yet modestly cut for a lady. A classic black coat, lady's bag and lace pumps add further refinement to the outfit. Beautiful jewelry adds glamour to the dress, with a long beaded necklace, feminine vintage earrings and watch. The bracelet, makes a beautiful statement, tying in with the multi-coloured beads of the necklace, for something a little more unexpected.

I love special occasion and party outfits. They are the most fun to create and to style (even if you don't enjoy the party as much as getting ready for the party). Let me know, what you're thinking of wearing to your holiday parties? Something classic? Or something more unexpected?

Merry Christmas! & Happy Holidays!

I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season! Filled with lot's of laughs, love, joy and of course, good health.
