Casual Summer Outfits

Casual summer outfits are all about being comfortable, but you can still be stylish. When dressing casually, the first priority is to be comfortable in what you're wearing for whatever you're going to be doing. Flats, or shoes with slight heels will be the most convenient when you are relaxing, or have a lot of walking to do. Sunglasses are important to take with you (unless the sun's gone down) to shield your eyes. Hats are also great for keeping the sun's rays at bay. All these things will also keep you more comfortable.

At the Pool & Beach

When heading to the beach, or the pool, being comfortable and protected is important. That's why I suggest you bring a coverup, a scarf, a hat, and some sunglasses. That way if you've had too much sun, you can cover up, but still look chic and feel comfortable. Glam up as much, or as little as you want with accessories to pull the entire look together.

Out & About

With the heat often getting quite hot and intense, a dress is allows your legs to breathe, without being constricted by pants, or shorts. Also it makes picking out an outfit that much easier, because you don't have to pick out a top and bottom.

When you want to be comfortable and casual in flats and jeans, add some interest with accessories. A nice statement piece will make you look like you put more effort into your outfit, making it appear more dressy, even if your just going to the movies. This emerald colored statement necklace adds some pop of color, while staying in the natural color scheme of blue and green. While the top is casual, the cinching at the waist, and the ruffle details accentuate and flatter the silhouette.

Dressing Comfortably

A maxi dress is great when the temperature heats up. It's long so you are covered up more if you want to be, and you don't have to worry about if it's too short for an event you go to. It is a comfortable option that is elegant, yet relaxed and casual all at once, it takes you seamlessly from day to evening.

Being casual and stylish can go hand in hand. Adding a statement piece of jewelry, or keeping it subtle is all up to you, and how you feel before you walk out  your door. You don't need a lot to look stylish. Style isn't about how much you have, it's about what you do with it that makes you stylish.

Hope everyone is having a great summer! Which look is your favorite?
