Trends for Fall 2014

Fall

Fall is Here! What trends are in style for fall this year? Well keep reading and you will find out. These are the trends to keep an open eye for, and are easily incorporated into anyone's wardrobe. Some will seem quite classic, while others will be more daring, but either way these are fun to play around with.

Knits are a staple for fall and winter, nonetheless they are a hot trend, so don't resit getting  warm and cozy knits this season. Being warm and cozy is in! Always start off with some classic colors, then go from there when you have those covered. Grey, black, white, brown, beige and any similar shade are essentials. Designers always show knits in the classic colors, often paired with other neutrals.

Shearling Not Shivering

Keeping in line with warmth, try shearling fur. Unlike other types of fur, shearling doesn't involve killing animals, only shaving them to get the fur. A shearling coat, and gloves will help keep you warm this fall and winter. Beautiful browns and beige go great together with gold. For a pop of color, red goes beautifully with these colors. Gold is also a huge trend this fall and winter, as you will it accessorized with multiple outfits in this post.

For something more adventurous, try an animal print, leopard is an especially hot trend this year. Keep it minimal with the animal print. Wear one item at once of an animal print looks best, whether it's a coat, dress, top, shoes, bag, or something else. Wearing only 1, maybe 2 small items in animal print looks the most elegant and chic, because too much starts to look like a costume.

Vibrant Color Mixing

Wearing colors together in vibrant hues is all the rage this season: perfect for those that want to stand out, and carry on wearing bright colors even when the weather is not. It was common to see either all one or similar colors all paired together, such as red from head to toe (accessories included), while it was also common to see opposite colors, such as blue and yellow. When trying to achieve this trend, look for vibrant and bright colors, such as the look above.

Blending In

Now if you prefer to standout by not trying to standout, then wear something as neutral and classic as you can. With everyone trying to standout by wearing large accessories, and bold and statement pieces, you may end up standing out best, by dressing as subtle and neutral as possible. Think of all the classic and neutral colors, and create a similar color scheme, such as black, white, navy, or beige and khaki, or brown and caramel. This look is known as normcore to designers.

These were some of my favorite trends for fall and winter 2014. I love the fact that being neutral has become a standout, as more and more people want to standout and wear different colors, and bold pieces. At the same time I love the idea of carrying over wearing head to toe in vibrant colors into the fall and winter. Let's face it people should feel encouraged to wear lot;s of color no matter what season it is, especially if it makes them feel good.

What are your favorites trends for fall and winter? Are there any you're eager to try?
