Spring 2014 Trend to Try: Mid Heels

I love heels, but what I don't love about heels is how they can seem impractical at times. Whether you have quite a bit of walking to do, or have no room to carry an extra pair of shoes with you everywhere you go, that's where mid heels are a savior. These are in between a high heel, and flats. The heights vary from practically nothing to a good couple of inches, so you can have comfort and easy walking in one pair of shoes. This has to be one of my favorite trends to come out in years. I love the neutrality and practicality of some of these trends, but I think this could be one that saves many girls.

Mid heels are great, they give you a bit of a heel, without the pain and agony that comes from a high heel when walking, best of all they look great! No matter what style in heels you like, whether elegant, wedge, sandal, evening, you should be able to find it in a mid height heel, which will be a savior to everyone that 1) needs a break from the super high heels 2) doesn't like the really high heels 3) wants a compromise between heels and practicality, and comfort to some degree. It seems like ever since the arrival of the stylish ballet flat, that people have woken up and realized that shoes can be stylish and elegant and feminine and dainty and not have to be high heels to achieve that. And now you have mid heels, which are more dressy than ballet flats, yet more suitable for many who don't always want a high shoe to wear when they want to dress up.

Go ahead and try them, I'm sure you will realize a shoe that you never knew you you needed, until you try on a beautiful mid heeled shoe that looks beautiful, but is a lot more wearable like the ballet flats as opposed to wearing high heels all the time. Now, I'm not saying ditch your high heels, I'm simply saying that like the iPad, which is middle ground in size compared to the iPhone and the MacBook laptop, the mid heel is a mid way point between the ballet flat and the high heel. All of then can be useful, and beautiful. Try them out and see for yourself.

What do you think about mid heels? Do you own any?
